Dear Subscriber,
Do you have a moment to help us help our cancelled artists? We’ve just received a pledge to match all donations up to our total campaign amount of $2,500 from an anonymous donor, so now is an incredible time to donate! Please help us reach our goal by June 1st for your contribution to be matched.
Wilmington Classical Guitar’s (WCG) concert series is built around supporting emerging artists. We are inspired by the talent of young guitarists worldwide, and believe that the future of classical guitar is (literally) in their hands.
As you know, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the arts community. WCG is one among many arts organizations who have been forced to cancel their concerts and programming this spring. For the artists we engage – those working to launch their careers and build their reputations – the loss of income and opportunity is particularly destabilizing.
I’m sure, like us, you were looking forward to seeing our concerts with Jordan Dodson in March and the GFA Winner Raphaël Feuillâtre in April. And like us, you would love to help support these amazing artists. To make it easy, WCG has established a GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the strain on our cancelled artists. We want to provide them with the income they deserve and were relying on. We want to help them sustain their careers in the face of great uncertainty.
Please consider making a pledge. Donate today at GoFundMe.
Thank you for being part of our community. We are so grateful for your support.
Best wishes,
Matthew Lavanish
President & Artistic Director – Wilmington Classical Guitar
