I am excited!
We are just a week away from our season 2022-23 opening concert, and I can’t believe how far we’ve come in the past year. While last concert season was overshadowed by COVID, this season abounds with hope. Through hardship, we managed to come together as a community and continue to bring music into the world. We reopened our doors for in-person concerts and we have been so heartened and encouraged by the show of support we’ve received. Your presence, your stories, and your kind messages of gratitude buoyed us during uncertain times and reminded us why we do this — why what we do as a community is so important. Music brings us together; music is healing; music is hope and joy we all need.
Wilmington Classical Guitar remains committed to enriching the cultural life of our Greater Wilmington community by presenting the best emerging artists in the world, giving young musicians some of their very first opportunities, and spreading the joy of music and friendship. But we need your help to continue doing this important work.
Donations and Membership dues make everything we do possible, and since WCG is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations are tax deductible. As we kick off our 2022-23 season, please consider a gift to WCG to help make our season a success, and if you’re not already a member of the guitar society, consider joining. All are welcome.
Would you support us with a season-opening gift of $100? Donations can be submitted online at https://www.wilmingtonguitar.org/donate, or by mail with a check payable to “Wilmington Classical Guitar” to our Treasurer, Simon Varley, at 8 Sawmill Rd., Glenn Mills, PA 19342.
We kick off our 14th season on October 15 with Thomas Viloteau & Alexandra Iranfar-Viloteau. I hope you’ll join us for what is sure to be a concert like no other, and return with us to a more joyful time.
