BIO:
Austin Flinn is quickly gaining a reputation as a prominent local musician and educator. He has played guitar most of his life and has spent seven years studying classical guitar with Glenn Lyons at West Chester University. He earned his Bachelor of Music specializing in Guitar Performance and is currently finishing a Masters degree in the same field.

Austin performs regularly with the WCU Guitar Ensemble, where he has held numerous first chair positions. He recently opened at the kickoff concert for the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society’s 2014-2015 season.

As a teacher, Austin has helped dozens of aspiring guitarists over the past decade. Many of his students have become fine musicians in their own right and some have even gone on to study music at the University level. Aside from honing their skills on their instrument, Austin’s students benefit from building a solid foundation in music theory.

In addition to classical guitar, Austin has done sideman work for Philadelphia area singer/songwriter Cole Redding. He also directs and performs weekly with a youth and young adult praise band at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in West Brandywine, PA.
